Upon completion of this course trainees will successfully be able to control a crowd in an emergency situation on board, locate essential safety and emergency equipment on board, communicate effectively with passengers during an emergency, demonstrate the use of personal life-saving appliances, and comply with the ship’s safety and emergency procedures.

Duration
This online course is based on a 16 hour in-person course.

Regulation V/2, §§4, 5 and 6 and Regulation V/3, §§ 4, 5 and 6 and specified in the STCW Code Sections A-V/2 and A-V/3, §§.1, 2, and 3.
Assessments
Written Examination
The written exam can be taken online through HALO° Exams. You will receive 3 attempts for your exam. If you fail all 3 attempts, you must pay a retake fee of $25.00.
Practical Assessment
- International Licenses
The mandatory assessments supplied in the course must be completed and signed off by an STCW licensed Master or Chief Mate onboard a vessel using the approved Training Record Book.
